Premise Inspection
These activities covers over 400 premises in Padang Terap
including canteens, hostels, stalls, restaurants, PLKN etc.
Each premise is inspected at least once a year and graded
accordingly (A, B, C).

Food Sampling
Sampling may be formal (enforcement purposes) or informal
(surveillance purposes).
The officer, after paying for the food to the person selling
the food, can ask for, choose and obtain the sample for analysis.

Food samples intended for microbiological investigations
must be kept at -4 degrees Celsius and sent within 24 hours.
Perishables and pesticides are sent within 24 hours, whereas
other products can be sent the next day.
